WHAT IS THE FATCAT RADIO NETWORK?
FatCat (one word. capital F. capital C.) is an internet radio station based in Rockford Illinois USA. It was founded
by 'One Angry Swede' in December 2001 and is now co-managed by Swede and his wife Jennifer. FatCat Radio
features 100% independent music. Live & On Demand.
The goal is to provide listeners with quality rock
and blues, and to give unsigned / indie artists from around the world an opportunity to have their music heard.
Simple as that. We feel the music is what matters and therefore have purposely kept this a no frills site. You will
not find advertising or a bunch of inane distractions. It's our hope that you find FatCat Radio to be an informative
and easy to navigate website with a lot of great music you may otherwise never have heard.
As of March 2009, listeners from more than 75 countries have 'Clicked on the Cat'.
WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC DOES FATCAT RADIO PLAY?
Primary genres are rock and blues. We also feature a bit of punk & metal.
All music is by unsigned or small label independent artists only. (Royalty free / by permission)
WILL YOU PLAY MY MUSIC ON FATCAT RADIO?
This is the most asked question we get. The truthful answer is... probably not. Yes, we add artists who properly submit
their music for consideration (see below) but the fact is the number we approve is very small. We have very specific tastes
when it comes to our programming. Add the time it takes to review submissions, email artists, download tracks, update
playlists, prepare for broadcast, etc and it makes it impossible to accomodate all those that are trying to obtain airplay.
That being said we are constantly on the lookout for new music to add to FatCat's various programming. Some of the sites
we find new material include: ReverbNation, Soundclick, MySpace, PodSafe Music, & IndieShows.
To submit your music for FatCat Radio airplay consideration please complete the Music Submission Form.
CAN I JUST EMAIL YOU SOME MP3s? MAIL YOU A CD?
Do NOT send mp3s / other files. Without exception all unsolicited music we receive is deleted without review.
Complete the Music Submission Form to have us evaluate your material for airplay. A mailing address for cds,
press kits or other promotional material is provided by request only to those artists currently on our roster.
HOW DO I LISTEN TO THE LIVE STREAM? ON DEMAND?

Click the listen button. A small window will open and the music will automatically begin streaming.
FatCat On Demand
Select your station and push the play button or click on the song title.
Additional options
Click the media link found on the Live page for more player options. (SpacialAudio, WMP)
Radio.de (Germany) & Radio.fr (France) each offer a high tech and seemingly universal player at fatcatradio.radio.de and fatcatradio.radio.fr respectively. Other sister sites can be found in the Litterbox section.
Troubleshooting
The Live player uses flash media provided by Wavestreaming and is compatible with all browsers and platforms,
including Internet Explorer, Firefox & Safari, Windows and Apple Mac. IE and Firefox account for 95% of the visitors to
FatCat Radio so we don't anticipate any problems getting the music to stream. We HIGHLY recommend Firefox for all
your internet needs. You may be required to update your flash settings or add a plug-in if you are using an older version of
your current browser. You will need a high speed internet connection as FatCat Radio Live broadcasts at a rate of 128k/bps,
there is no lo-fi (dial up) option available. To stop the music playback click the mute button or close the window. Do not pause.
WHAT IS THE 'FATCAT AUTO-PILOT'?
Automated streaming music from a database of songs from the live shows plus many exclusive Auto-Pilot artists.
CENTRAL TIME? FATCAT TIME? BUT WHAT TIME IS THAT WHERE I AM?
The digital clock located on the schedule page displays the official FatCat Radio time. (US Central Timezone) To help determine the show times in your area please use our timezone converter. Still confused? Sign up for On Air Alerts to receive an email prior to each program's start time.
HOW DO I BECOME A DJ AT FATCAT RADIO?
There are no plans to add additional staff. Pre-recorded or syndicated material may be added at some point.
WHY ISN'T THERE A CHATROOM?
FatCat Radio is here to bring the listener quality independent music. We are not here to be a social networking site.
There is no chatroom. We do, of course, want to hear from listeners and artists. Requests / feedback / questions are
always encouraged. Contact us via email at fatcatradio@gmail.com or post your comments at The Cat's Meow.
You can also be a part of the live programming by calling the FatCat Phone 206-337-0228. Anytime day or night. Leave a message and your voice just might be broadcast worldwide.
HOW CAN I HELP PROMOTE FATCAT RADIO?

music loving friends will too. Tell people to "Click on the Cat". MySpace users you can help out by reposting
our bulletins. T-shirts, pins and other swag with the FatCat logo are available at Fat-Mart. If you would like to
